We loved Bawky-Bird at first sight and he hasn't let us down. His paternal dam (Vampress) was a large, long doe, as was his dam Swan (pictured here), so -no surprise- he is a very big boy, with a lovely gentle disposition. Those does were also heavy milking animals, so - again, no surprise - he throws wonderful dairy skin, flat bone and milk. His offspring also excel in breed character, both in wonderful ears and elegant noses.

His first milking daughter here was Sparkling Zinfindel, who was 1st/2nd udder at the 2009 National, All American Milking Yearling, EX90 and a finished champion as a 2-yr-old. We can't wait so see what his newest editions will do!

Hilkiah is the last son of a great doe. Jamilla, was a top show doe (placing up to 1st/1st udder at Nationals) with an LA score of EX93-EEEE.  He is a powerful buck, with a tall front, level back and exceptional width between the hocks. He received Es on his shoulder assembly, front legs, rear legs and feet, with Vs for head and rump.

While he is still a fairly young buck, he is off to a fine start with his first two daughters to freshen, both scoring VG88 as yearlings! He seem to add width throughout, as will as breed character about the nose and ears, flatter, leveler and wider rumps and more nearly correct medials and teat placement. The udder attachments have been nice, as well.  We added another promising daughter to the herd from his 2010 kids.
